Beating the winter blues with a dose of creativity

A new season and lots of new art! The mini artists in my winter session have been learning about new artists and techniques and have created some fun masterpieces lately...

Keith Haring study:
After looking at several examples of  Haring's work, the lesson was to draw a figure in motion using basic shapes, draw organic shapes around it and paint using primary colors

Fauvism and Matisse study: 
We looked at "The Open Window" by Matisse painted during the Fauvism movement (use of strong color) and created our own views...
